Poetry and Loss Part 1:
Poet Laing F. Rikkers on Grief, Writing, and the Natural World

Register Here Today

This free workshop is the first of our three-part Poetry and Loss series this fall

After the sudden loss of her sister, Laing F. Rikkers sought solace from nature and creativity. She wrote and published her first collection of poetry, Morning Leaves, with the intention of helping others navigate grief. Her goal now is to share her path to help others learn new ways to care for themselves, heal from their losses, and create meaningful connections with the natural world.

Moving through grief is a process and there are no shortcuts. Uncovering new methods of approaching this process can provide support during impossible times. In this workshop, Laing shows us simple tools that are readily available to us even in the dark. She shares her experience of learning from her sadness to create a richer, more meaningful life.
